While Maedell’s Farm was officially established as a business in 2021, our story truly began in 1988. What started as a modest family plot in Raleigh, North Carolina, has been shaped by decades of dirt, sweat, and sunshine.

Adelaide Smith, our founder, spent the heart of her childhood tucked away in these very fields. To her, the farm wasn't just a place of work; it was a classroom and a playground. Whether she was tending to the livestock at dawn or watching the first sprouts of the season break through the soil, Adelaide developed a deep-rooted love for the rhythm of farm life and the rewards of a harvest grown with care.

As the years passed, Adelaide realized that the incredible quality of life found on the farm shouldn't stay hidden behind a family fence. In 2021, she decided to open the gates of Maedell’s Farm to the public. Her vision was simple: to share the richness and unmatched freshness of their family-raised products with the local community.
